Restaurant Genepy is the in-house restaurant of the Hotel Hemizeus in Zermatt. Here, hotel guests enjoy their daily breakfast and can flexibly enhance their stay with a culinary package.
We also warmly welcome non-hotel guests for breakfast. In summer, we offer a lunch menu starting at 2:00 p.m., while we serve delicious specialties in the afternoons and evenings year-round.

At Restaurant Genepy the focus lays on fresh ingredients, seasonal dishes, and warm hospitality. Our cuisine combines regional specialties with creative ideas to create delightful dining experiences that perfectly complement a stay in Zermatt.
Its quiet location above the village center makes the restaurant a special place to relax and savor the moment. From the terrace and selected seats inside the restaurant, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn and the impressive Zermatt mountain landscape.
BREAKFAST AT RESTAURANT GENEPY

Daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
For hotel guests, the day begins with a hearty breakfast, which is included in the room rate. Look forward to a wide selection of breads, muesli, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, jam, and fruit, as well as freshly prepared egg dishes. Our highlight is our vegetable juicer, which you can use to make your own fresh juices.
Outside guests are also welcome and can enjoy our breakfast buffet with a prior reservation.
CULINARY PACKAGE FOR HOTEL GUESTS
Hours of Operation
Hot meals are served from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
(Starting in November, the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, exception: Christmas and New Year’s week; in summer, starting in May, it is closed on Mondays.)
If you’d like to round out your stay with a culinary experience, we recommend our culinary package. It includes breakfast and a varied four-course dinner and corresponds to our half-board option.
Please note that on our closing days, we only serve breakfast, dinner is not included.

The large summer terrace, with its beautiful view of the Matterhorn, invites you to linger—whether for a cup of coffee, a refreshing drink, a light snack, or a glass of wine.

Restaurant Genepy features an atmospheric wine cellar with a carefully curated selection of top-quality regional wines and fine wines from various regions and countries. Whether to accompany dinner, for an aperitif, or for a small tasting, wine lovers are sure to find the perfect wine here.
The wine cellar is also available for private wine evenings or tastings for smaller groups of up to twelve people.

After a hike, a bike ride, or a day of skiing, Restaurant Genepy offers the perfect setting to wind down and enjoy the rest of the day.
