A story about wishes, ideas and realizations
Since as early as 1975 we have been running Hemizeus, which is located in the beautiful hamlet of Tuftra. We love this house and hope to welcome you in our hotel for many more years.
The most common question from our guests is; what does hemiceus actually mean. Every building in Zermatt needs a name, the hotel consists of three houses with the names Hera Mira Zeus. This gave rise to the abbreviation; Hemizeus.

We are looking for a Sous-Chef from mid-March.
The Restaurant Genepy is a renowned Ă la carte restaurant in the Hotel Hemizeus in Zermatt, offering seasonal, freshly prepared cuisine with a sophisticated signature. Our kitchen delights guests with carefully selected, home-made dishes and a creative mix of classic and contemporary influences.
In our well-coordinated team, we offer ambitious sous-chefs the opportunity to take on responsibility, actively support the head chef and further develop their leadership and professional skills. Structured processes, team spirit and enjoyment of the craft are at the heart of what we do.
Your tasks:
– You are deputy to the head chef
– You are responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
– You supervise the work of your colleagues and report to the head chef
– You produce the hot and cold dishes and ensure their quality
– You have a high level of creativity and culinary know-how and know how to implement this in the menu planning _COPY3 – You support the menu planning. You have a high level of creativity and culinary expertise and know how to apply this in menu planning
– You support the head chef in menu planning
– You assign tasks and shifts and plan the preparation
What you bring to the table:
– You have completed an EFZ chef apprenticeship and have at least 3 years of management experience
– You already have experience in community catering
– You have German level C1-C2: competent use of the language
– You are flexible, resilient, team-oriented and enjoy helping out
